The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, through the Study Abroad Office, invites MSU students in ALL majors to spend a semester at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Earn up to 12 credits toward your degree while learning about a unique Asian country rich in history and culture.
The Philippines, with 7,107 islands, is the only predominantly Christian country in Asia. Being a tropical country, the temperature averages 85o F, 365 days a year--except for a few locations in the mountains which enjoy temperate to cool weather. While Filipino is the official language and English is very widely spoken--especially in the urban areas--over 100 languages are spoken in different regions of the country.
There are many things to learn, see, and enjoy while studying in the Philippines. The country is known for its warm hospitality, pristine white sand beaches, and spectacular scenery. On the weekends and during breaks, you can travel around the islands and visit the Philippines' many beautiful sites and historical sites.
