The Center for International Public Enterpirse (CIPE--http://www.cipe.org/)
sponsored research and a workshop in Maputo, Mozambique, in November, 2004,
that brought together MIS participants from Mali, Mozambique, and Zambia to
share experiences and draw lessons for building sustainable MIS with strong
public-private partnerships. The CIPE-supported projects helped pull together
lessons learned from the PASIDMA project in Mali as well as similar efforts
elsewhere in Africa.
