Environmental Economics
Our mission is to provide knowledge, skills, and tools for building an environmentally sustainable economy. We educate students about economic systems and human choices as they relate to environmental resources. We help the public understand tradeoffs inherent in managing natural systems, particularly within the Great Lakes ecosystem. We advance the science of how markets and policies affect economic and environmental outcomes. We conduct innovative research to measure progress toward economic and environmental goals.
