Taking Charge of Risk


    Agriculture producers are facing an increasing need to manage various types of risk.  Today, changes in government policies, international trade agreements and factors in the world marketplace have increased and shifted risk in several ways.  It is important that farmers understand the types of risk that they must face and develop a positive strategy for addressing these risks.
    Production agriculture is a basic industry and plays a vital role in our community, region and state.  It is vital that we all work together and make every effort possible to insure that the farms of today remain viable.
    A one-day program, presented throughout the state, is a fast paced combination of presentations, small group discussions and hands-on case study activities by participants.  The outline for the one-day program is:
