AG HALL ENTRANCE DOORS
The week of June 25 (Monday) through June 29, 2007 (Friday), Aaron Glass Company will be replacing the framework, doors and door hardware at the west main entrance to Agriculture Hall. Use an alternate entrance to enter or leave the building while this renovation is in progress. For questions, call 432-5957, M-F from 8 to 4:30.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WELCOME BACK
Brian Hoort has been selected for the Information Technologist I position in our Department and Brian's first day with us will be Thursday, July 5. Chris Wolf has agreed to assist in the transition phase. I again extend many thanks to Chris for his long and dedicated service to our Department. AG ECON ALUM'S WORK IN NEWS MEDIA
Eleni Gabre-Madhin, (MS from MSU Ag Econ, 1992) was featured in the June 9th issue of the international newspaper, The Economist. Gabre-Madhin, currently employed by the International Food Policy Research Institute, is working to establish a grain marketing and futures board of trade in Ethiopia. The effort will serve to make markets there more efficient and thereby reduce hunger in the region. John Staatz served as Gabre-Madhin's major professor during her studies at MSU.
