ABATE ACCEPTS BOARD POST
Getachew Abate has been named to the Board of Directors of the East Lansing Food Coop.

PRODUCT CENTER IMPACTS
Since its inception in 2003, activities by the Department's Product Center for Ag. & Natural Resources have lead to 60 new businesses or business expansions.  Impacts from these new businesses and expansions are estimated to be:  annual sales of $68M, value of investment of $35M, and 371 new jobs created with an estimated annual payroll of $11M.

NEW BORLAUG FELLOW
Hikuepi (Epi) Katjiuongua has been named as a Borlaug Fellow.  She will be working on a project entitled, "EU-Africa Economic Partnership Agreements:  Economic Impact and Challenges for SACU, The Case of Agriculture."  Her advisor is David Weatherspoon.
