CANR OLYMPICS
The 2004 ANR Olympics are Thurs., Nov. 11 at the MSU Pavilion on the corner of Farm Lane and Mt. Hope Road.  Festivities are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. once check-in is complete and should be wrapping up well before 10 p.m., depending on the speed of events.  We are seeking your help and participation in this year's games. GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program of the National Academies (Washington, D.C.) is designed to engage graduate and postdoctoral students in science & technology policy and to familiarize them with the interactions among science, technology, and government. Students in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, veterinary medicine, business, and law develop essential skills different from those attained in academia, which will help them make the transition from being a graduate student to a professional.  Applications are now being accepted for our 2005 program. The program will comprise three, ten-week sessions:
Winter Jan. 10 through March 18; Deadline: Nov. 1
Summer June 6 through Aug. 12; Deadline: March 1
Fall  Sept. 12 through Nov. 18; Deadline: June 1

UCLA International Institute will appoint up to eight     new Global Fellows for the 2005-2006 academic year, to  commence residence on 1 September 2005.  Required:  Fellows will be drawn from the arts and humanities  (including literary studies and philosophy), the natural  sciences (including engineering, medicine, and public  health), and the social sciences (including law, public policy, and management).
